2027: Ese Agbobore Joins Ughelli North II House of Assembly Contest
Honourable Ese Agbobore has formally thrown his hat into the ring for the Delta State House of Assembly. Declaring his candidacy for the Ughelli North Constituency II seat under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Agbobore vowed to bring “purposeful, people-centered representation” to his constituency when elected.
The declaration was made before the APC local government executives, led by Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, at the party’s secretariat in Ughelli. The event sets the stage for a fiercely contested primary, with Agbobore positioning himself as an experienced insider with the will to reform the system from within.
Agbobore’s declaration speech framed his bid not merely as a political campaign, but as a mission to recalibrate the very purpose of the legislature.
Addressing the party executives, he said; “Today, with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to our people, I officially declare my intention to contest for the Delta State House of Assembly, representing Ughelli North Constituency II.”
“This decision is fueled by a genuine passion to serve, to amplify the voices of our people, and to deliver purposeful, people-centered representation that truly reflects our collective aspirations.”
“Over the years, I have been privileged to serve in several capacities: as a Liaison Aide to a Member of the House of Assembly for eight years, Special Assistant to a Local Government Chairman, Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Youth Mobilization, and as Councillor representing the largest ward in Delta State, where I also served as Majority Leader. These experiences have prepared me to lead, to listen, and to act decisively in the interest of our constituency.”
He added; “I firmly believe that together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive, and progressive Ughelli North Constituency II one where every voice is heard and every community thrives.”
“I humbly seek your support as we embark on this journey of service and progress,” he declared.
